Love to Sing?

Want to travel with other youth, and share the goodness of God through music? Audition for the Lutheran Youth Choir of North America!

As many of you are aware from your personal situations, 2009 and 2010 have been very challenging years with economic recovery slow in coming. Unfortunately this has impacted us again this year. The LYCNA board met and decided to cancel our plans for a Northeast tour this summer. We always need to uphold our mission of presenting excellent music with an excellent choir. With the low enrollment we experienced, it is not possible to do that this year. It was a disappointing decision, especially after the three excellent tours we experienced, however, times change and we, too, need to adapt to new realities, therefore, our board is also considering new ways to accomplish our mission, perhaps with a different scope and program.
     On a brighter note, we had a great response to our Composer Contest, with entries from composers in the U.S., Canada, Italy and Japan! Watch the website for news on that front.
     God has blessed us with great experiences of learning, sharing and growing, as we were "Sent in Joy" to share God's Grace through music. We hope that this will be possible in some way in the future.
